ATTENTION INTERNETS.

Having just come home from a production of The Grand Duke, I have now officially seen every Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. All fourteen.

I respect that you may not all understand the majesty of this achievement, but suffice to say it has been 25 years in the making and, more importantly, my sister can now no longer hold it over me that she's seen them all and I haven't.

CAKE FOR ALL ON THIS GLORIOUS DAY.

Andrew Wyeth is dead today.  I cannot imagine that his passing—or anything I have to say on the subject—will be of much interest to anyone here, but I am writing this for myself because, although I live somewhere else now, Wyeth and I come from the same place.  Or at least I imagine that we do.
