Notes: So, in my new obsession with Star Trek, I ran across these hilarious character macros (words/images) (warnings: cursing and spoilers for the new ST movie) over at ontd_startrek  .  Now, the HIMYM community does not seem to be into macros, but I realized that our beloved HIMYM cast MUST HAVE A PIECE OF THIS ACTION.  So, I wrote up one for our favorite hopeless romantic and conned roland44  into making it into a pretty picture for me because I lack image skillz.  Mad love to Roland for getting on board and for improving on everything I did and for making this happen.

READ THE REST OF THE STAR TREK GQ MOTHERFUCKERS' MACROS AND YOU WILL "LIVE" THE FREAKING IDEA.
You can just write down your stream-of-cursing-consciousness thoughts on how you would introduce a total HIMYM noob to Barney Stinson. Add GQ pics, in NPH's case he does already have ACTUAL GQ pics. Definition of a GQ Motherfucker is obviously a guy who's so freaking hot he should be/is in GQ. Pick cool fonts, add in sizes and colors and you have a full macro. If you want, just email me some text and we'll see what we can do between you, me and miss tenk. ;)

Yay! And, yes, any help I can give, I will. The language gets easier once you start going.

The key is that you do have to be absolutely genuine in the things you are raving about. This was tricky to work with for Ted, because a lot of the things he does are really kind of pathetic. I think this is somewhat easier to do with the Star Trek characters because they all really are badasses to begin with, and the humor is just in the way you talk about them. I want to do another, more general one for Ted and am having a hard time figuring out how to talk about the fact that he is *hilarious* when he's sad and drunk.

And I had a hard time convincing Roland that we could label Ted as a GQ motherfucker. Obviously we needed the pics of him in a suit jacket, because the t-shirts were just not going to do it.
