Haha! I actually have a hard time hearing accents--I tend to block them out and have spent the last year listening to way too many British ones.

So it sounds ok to me.

Also, compared to how Americans have been shown on Who in the past, this seems downright authentic and respectful *g*

Heh, true! It's much better than the Americans in "Dalek". Still sounds really off to my ear, though, especially on the kid's end.

Yeah, Now I'm certainly leaning in that direction as well, but I had been hoping that River was a Silent or at least closely connected with the Silence. It was my favorite theory as to her identity because it would explain so much. Now I have *no* idea as to, as Octavian says, "who and what [she is]". I'm also still trying to figure out if "Silence will fall" is a bad or a good thing for the Silents. So much to ponder!

See, I rather assume that River's name being *Song* is relevant. Song =/= Silence, yes?

That said, if Moff wants to overturn everything and SCREW MY BRAIN OVER, I'm ok with that too =D

I definitely think the name is significant, but I haven't quite figured out if that means that River couldn't be both song and silence (Abigail's song is really what makes me think this), but your way makes sense as well. (Though, remember, River's introductory episode? How spiffy would it be if the answer to the two big mysteries of season 5/6 are both answered in a title in season 4?)

Your comment might actually happen! Apparently someone got their hands on a call sheet that mentioned a silent on the ceiling (if I remember correctly). :)

They do look seriously, properly creepy. X-Files kind of creepy. Adults are hiding behind their children kind of creepy.

Myself, I'm pleased as punch, but I can this being a problem for kids . . .

I'm having the same worry over here, actually. I mean I'm not denying it LOOKS brilliant, but maybe it'll be a bit too much for them, not to mention confusing... I fear for their alienating apartof the target audience.

Then again, maybe I'm underestimating kids here. Or overestimating the fear. I have no idea.

I was never a fan of scary things when I was a kid, so I may be a poor judge.

I keep getting assured that kids *want* it scary, though. I guess the proof will be in the pudding.
