promethia

[Error: unknown template qotd] Promethia is a feminization of Prometheus, one of my favorite of the Greek myths.  Prometheus: fire-bringer, knowledge-bringer who defied the gods and was chained to a rock and tormented for eternity for taking pity on man, for giving man the power to live for himself.  I'd like to think that, given the choice, he would do it all again.  The personality theorist David Keirsey named my temperament "the Prometheans" for our love of knowledge, our disregard for authority, and our independence.

I use the username Promethia on several other sites, but when I signed up for LJ it was taken by a band that doesn't even use their account.  I added "Tenk" because it was my avatar's last name in Second Life when I had to sign up for an account for a class I took on new media.  Also, I hate adding numbers to usernames.
