Oh so many things, but primarily Dany finally snapped and destroyed King's Landing with dragon fire after they had surrendered and Jamie Lannister left Brienne of Tarth after a month of domestic bliss to go die with his sister. And they both got crushed by the collapsing Red Keep instead of somebody getting to kill Cercei.
It was some prime-cut tragedy. Naturally the internet is in a meltdown about how the producers threw out everybody's character arcs and destroyed the show.
In the meantime I'm here looking for any scrap of commentary that doesn't start with the premise that this was morally bankrupt storytelling and enjoying that special afterglow that comes with the reveal that the character you haven't liked for seven seasons was evil after all.
