And, I mean, it's not strictly a come-on. There is legitimate, meaty Twelve and Clara relationship material in there that I assume you could read that way? I mean, if you're the kind of person who is going to read Twelve/Clara into the show, I don't know what else you're looking at to think that. I paralleled her with River for a whole verse!
In a related but slightly more cut-and-dry dilemma, I did label for Twelve/Missy even though I'm not particularly on board that train. But I did compare her execution to a wedding and implied that the Doctor went for an angst-fuelled booty-call, so there's really only one way to take that.
I feel like I've broken the Ao3 tagging system. Like, what category do I put this in? I went for 'multi' but I'm not sure if that means multiple relationships or if I'm implying some kind of poly set-up. Of course, maybe that's exactly what I'm implying, who knows.

I categorically don't ship the Doctor with companions, so the whole thing is weird to me... *I* wouldn't label it as such, but like you say, it might get more people watching - so whatever you feel like, I guess?

Yeah, that's kind of where I am with that one. I don't personally think that's what happened, but I've read fic of it of my own free will and I really don't have a problem with Moff leaning into the implication.
