As the official last person on earth watching Agents of SHIELD, I feel it is my duty to let you know that season five continues to be EPIC.

I also need to repeat this regularly to myself because otherwise I don't actually believe it.

I think I remember you and I touching on superheroes and why I love them and you're not so into them, in some previous conversation. Luckily, I love both superheroes and hard skiffy, so it'll be a win-win for me.

One of these days, I might want to take another look at Dollhouse. I tried for a few episodes, especially since one of my BSG faves, Tamoh Penikett, was in it, but ... maybe the writing hadn't gelled at that point?

I adore Dollhouse and wish everybody did as well, but it is a heavily flawed show. If you didn't get past episode six, you should definitely push through a bit more, because that's when things get interesting and more about what they're actually about, where the early episodes made the whole thing seem like it was going to be some kind of sadistic procedural. But the show was never really given the opportunity to gel. The pacing of season two is flat-out comedic because they basically knew when they were being cancelled and thus set out to tell the whole story arc they wanted to tell in the time allotted. The ideas are sublime, the execution less so . . .
