What if they have to convince Brig's dad not to off himself so that the Brig can exist?
Yeah, I have ambivalent feelings about that. On the one hand, how often can you use ''well, there was a war'' to punctuate the Doctor's character development? On the other hand, maybe dealing with whatever psychological fallout this one has, from the perspective of a lady Doctor, might be something new?

I guess I’m trying to say with the soldier thing, it’s been such a fixture of Twelve’s run, I’m sure Moff is going to try to give us some small amount of closure on it.
Maybe it'll be the Christmas when they played football? And it'll end with Twelve refereeing?
And One will be all 'What is this nonsense?' and Twelve will reply "Well, in my previous regeneration I played football, and I was rather good at it too!"
