Hey! Thanks for the note. I've really enjoyed our back-and-forth here too. I love when I find people with whom I can take my love of TV up to a more academic level. I may take you up on the Jung. I have some rough familiarity with his work that I've picked up through an interest in personality theory, but I'll admit to knowing next to nothing when it comes to his work in archetypes and such. Currently busy with Joseph Campbell, however.
Frankly, I'm pretty picky when it comes to fanfiction. I don't really read (and never write) fic for dramatic/realistic shows. Fic just seemed like the natural way for me to "analyze" How I Met Your Mother, but my first inclination with most shows is to do meta. Dr. Who might sit on the line for me between shows I'm comfortable writing fic for and shows I'd rather just discuss.
