Seriously this is so quietly and wonderfully done. I especially like Barney in this chapter, all silent and lacking in awesome but then ending up WAY more awesome because of it. "You did good, Scherbatsky." totally kicked my ass.
I mean I swooned at work and they had to fan me back to consciousness.

Also the scene where Robin gives Lily the hat. Kill me. I can't deal with how gut-wrenchingly well you've written this.
