A-hem, point. The part with Lily and the hat just about killed me because the previous segment that had featured the hat felt whimsical and lighter in tone. Lily only figured it all out when she was leaving Barney that voicemail, didn't she?
I don't even care that this is confusing as all hell because it feels so real. Mind you, a good confusing. Snippets of information at a time is so very HIMYM.
