But I realised that if she died (rather than just saving him) she wouldn't have a body to return to - all the others were uploaded whilst still alive. Yeah, I had a few minutes where I had to sit and think through the mechanics of all of it. Like, why were Anita and the others stuck in the Data core when Lee was saved . . . ? Duh. It's been awhile. But then, does this mean the Doctor never needed to upload River? Would CAL have gotten her anyway? But I guess he couldn't have know that. And it lacks the personal touch.
Now my head hurts. Just trying to wake you up. But I told you River cared too much about Clara in that episode!
