I'd never heard of the Fisher King, and I used to be really majorly into Arthurian legend. I wonder how I missed out on that? It is the strangest thing because I took a whole class on Arthurian lit, and he seems to show up very tangentially and yet there's a whole body of legends about him. I guess he's more one of those areas where Arthurian legend intersects with other areas of mythology?
