Revenge of the icons
Ummmm . . . I think I'm addicted to cropping icons. It must engage the same part of the brain as Tetris. And architectural drafting. I can't stop. I'm not sure I want to.
Also, somehow the only way I can really see what needs changing is by posting things publicly. So here's a bunch of what I assume to be works in progress. Man . . . look at that! Yeah, that was a mistake. What was she thinking? =D

This might be the reason I've never really had a proper go - I'm sure I'd fall down the same rabbit hole...
Nice work though! *admires*

Parallel and perpendicular lines . . . man, there's just something about them. Thank goodness I have crappy tools and can only fiddle with so much. I shudder to think what would happen if I had Photoshop available.

I am running around snagging lots of these River-y things (especially River-y Rory-y friendish ones). One day I will then move them off my computer and onto my LJ (ie when I stop being a lazy brat)
I like these. A lot. If these are works in progress, I can't wait to see the finished ones :D

Yours is lovely <3 Sometimes LJ just needs snarking at, though, you know?

Lazy brat? Lol. Don't want to know what I am, then. I approve this plan, though! I wish I could do more Rory + River icons, but I've pretty much used every available shot! Ah well, next season.

Thank you! They're actually looking better this morning than I anticipated, so they might not actually change that much. We'll see.

Okay, I squeed when I saw the Rory&River icon. There are so few with them in the same icon!
Admittedly, there's passingly little to work with. I think I've used just about every cap that has them next to each other. Next season. Next season.
"This is my shippy icon," one made me lol. I love that they're both looking away from the text, perfectly illustrating the UST between them.
:) Somehow a properly shippy icon doesn't seem quite appropriate yet. Not that I begrudge other people theirs, but I wanted something a little more . . . realistic.
I really love the icon from the angel ep where they're both reading books. There could be all kinds of symbolism there.
I love that scene to bits =D You know what more sci-fi/fantasy shows need? Five minute-long scenes of scholarship and awkward subtext.
And the last one? Eleven is such a dork.
I like my dorks situated under pretty ceilings =D VoV was architecture porn decorated with some familiar characters.

"VoV was architecture porn decorated with some familiar characters." It was definitely my second favorite thing about the episode. And really, is part of my first favorite. I just adore the scene with Doctor sitting on the throne and flirting/teasing the fish lady. And it wouldn't have been half as great with lesser architecture.

Oh, I totally love that scene too--all still and intense and a real dance of wills! Definitely a highlight of the season (among many!).

(lol of course I would icon!fail in this post.)

Yeah, there's something about having the characters not in the middle, isn't there? I find it more interesting--even when I'm cropped in real close I want to have them offset somehow. I remember taking a notice of that Amy icon of yours when you got it--it is lovely.
