Yup, that's about the long and short of it. I do firmly intend to spend a lot more time getting to know Mr. Fry. I was sort of actively avoiding his stuff for the last month, though, for fear of discovering I'd gotten it all horribly wrong and had no way of rewriting this!
I think we're going to have to keep Eleven around, though, as awesome as River is. You'd miss him once we got back to narrative, and the universe would be a cold and joyless place. I did put him well out of his element here.
