Upon reflection, I'm quite ridiculously proud of this one. I'm sure it's my favorite that I've yet written, and if anyone asks me again what are my thoughts/opinions/predictions about River, I shall simply be able to point them here because this is, essentially, everything I want to say about the character. It's also pretty unique amongst my fics in making me *calmer* by the time I'm done reading it. Usually reading my own writing tends to agitate me. It's a pleasant sort of agitation, but agitation none the less. Not this one, though.

I'd been meaning to ask you how you came up with the prompt you did. I find it interesting to know what angle other people are coming from, particularly when they manage to put my own thinking/writing through a major shift.
