Thanks for trying anyway! It's probably entirely a matter of context. I can make this whole story fairly sleek and compact, in which case I should probably push on and use the scene to do some plot work. Or I can go for the more leisured approach and have a number of these little domestic moments scattered about for atmosphere. I'm not even sure where in the story I'm gonna put this. I guess we'll see when I have a bit more material.
