It does memes?

Somehow even the internet does not contain enough distraction to get me to Doctor Who time. Would that this hoodie were a time hoodie!

1.How did you name your pets?

I think the only pet that was properly mine and thus solely mine to name was a hamster I named Cotton Candy. Because it was soft and fluffy. I was, like, eight, don't judge.

A few of my plants have names, though not all. I have a little cactus named Fred, a palm named Clive, and an elephant foot palm named Curt Cobain, for obvious reasons.

And I had some influence in naming my mom's guinea pig, Albert. I generally like the conceit of giving pets (and plants) extremely banal, non-pet names.

2.Poirot or Miss Marpel?

Neither. Mysteries are the dullest genre; I never read them.

3.Do you have a FB account too?

Deleted that shit years ago when they were gearing up to conquer the world. Sure one time nobody actually bothered to tell me my cousin had had a baby because of course everyone's on Facebook and thus knew, but no regrets.

4.Books - hardcover or paperback

Ebooks, largely. Nothing like years of working in bookstores, physically slinging thousands of books around, to make you dramatically unsentimental about printed text.

5.Mobile(cell phone): Windows/Android or Apple?

Apple, currently. Android for my last two phones. iPhone again before that. Could well be Android next time. I live in a perpetual state of grass is greener. Anyone who wants a lengthy philosophical debate about the relative merits of the two platforms, hit me up.

Well, that's killed a good fifteen minutes. Is it Doctor Who time yet?

I thought you hated hamsters. What did that hamster do to you

My boss is obsessed with guinea pigs and puts guinea pig stickers randomly everywhere. I never had one. I've always wanted one, but most mammals I think are too much work for me now.

I had eight rats once, that was great. And rabbits as a kid, Stewie and Stewie II.

i seen this hahahah

my reptiles and invertebrates only need to be fed once a week and tidied up after about once a month, good pets for someone who barely has the wherewithal to feed themselves every day/has chronic motivation problems, such as myself.

I turned my lobster tank into a hydroponics system so I never have to think about my plants. My house is slowly turning into a self-sustainig ecosystem. The lobster water feeds the plants, the plants feed my snails, the snails get fed to the lobster and the lizard.

Having had two hamsters as a child? I wholeheartedly agree.
Gerbils are slightly more interesting, however, meaner and not as soft and fluffy. They'd get out, the cats would chase them, my mother would have to rescue the poor trembling things. I can't remember what we named them.

It was admittedly a very very long time ago. (1980s). So I can't really recall which was friendlier. I don't remember getting bitten by the hamsters. My brother called his gerbil "Jaws" -- so if that's any indication?

My brother is ridiculously good at naming things.

Were they kept solitary? Solitary gerbils go mental, the same with rats. You have to keep them in pairs.

Yeah I had the same problem with my mice. One of them kept beating up the littlest one so it had to go to mouse jail. After a couple weeks of solitary confinement they're usually willing to play nice
