I know I'm very late in commenting but this was so fabulous! And hilariously brilliant! I especially love River's awareness of her own meta-ness.

Do you mind me asking what bits of River's characterization you think she'd be mad about? ("I’ve got some choice words about my characterization of late . . . .") Just wondering...
